Our boardgaming track is one of the largest and most popular areas of the con,
and we keep doing everything we can to keep it coming back as strong and
exciting as ever!
While the menu of events changes from con to con, we always manage to have a
great mix of new and classic games, with formats ranging from huge and complex
boards being used in events that can run over 6 hours, to events using a few
cards or dice that can end in just a few minutes.
No matter what kind of games you like, we're betting that you'll find something
that suits you on the boardgame track schedule at Ubercon- and if not, don't
forget our extensive Game Library, which includes a fantastic range of games
available to be checked out by con attendees. Have an hour or two to kill
before your next scheduled event starts? Grab a game that looks interesting
from the library and snag a spot on one of our dedicated "open gaming" tables
to make the time fly by!

Age of Steam by Winsome Games
Go back to the late 19th century with this challenging
and highly regarded rail game. Set in the Great Lakes
area, players compete to lay track and ship goods to
gain income. The real star of the game is the
brutally difficult financial system. Will you rule
the rails, or will you be forced into bankruptcy?

Apples to Apples by Out of the Box
Players are called upon to select a red apple card from their hand with the name of a person, place, thing or event which they think is best characterized by the word on a randomly drawn green apple card. The selected red apple cards are then judged by one of the players to determine a winner for that round.

Dominion by Rio Grande Games
In Dominion, each player starts with an identical, very small deck of cards. In the center of the table is a selection of other cards the players can "buy" as they can afford them. Through their selection of cards to buy, and how they play their hands as they draw them, the players construct their deck on the fly, striving for the most efficient path to the precious victory points by game end. From the back of the box: "You are a monarch, like your parents before you, a ruler of a small pleasant kingdom of rivers and evergreens. Unlike your parents, however, you have hopes and dreams! You want a bigger and more pleasant kingdom, with more rivers and a wider variety of trees. You want a Dominion! In all directions lie fiefs, freeholds, and feodums. All are small bits of land, controlled by petty lords and verging on anarchy. You will bring civilization to these people, uniting them under your banner." "But wait! It must be something in the air; several other monarchs have had the exact same idea. You must race to get as much of the unclaimed land as possible, fending them off along the way. To do this you will hire minions, construct buildings, spruce up your castle, and fill the coffers of your treasury. Your parents wouldn't be proud, but your grandparents would be delighted." Dominion is not a CCG, but the play of the game is similar to the construction and play of a CCG deck. The game comes with 500 cards. You select 10 of the 25 Kingdom card types to include in any given play -- leading to immense variety
